Shamrock uses the United States Postal Service's premium address updating product, NCOALink. The National Change of Address database holds over 160 million moves, archived for the past 48 months. Especially for healthcare applications where you may see a patient only every year or so, it is far superior to FastForward/NCOA, which archives for only the past 13 months.
Public Domain Database
After using the United States Postal Service's premium address updating product, we query our public domain database that utilizes thousands of records and databases in the public sector. One out of four people who move DO NOT alert the United States Postal Service, but chances are very good that they will change their address with their bank, credit union, insurance company, cable company or some other public domain entity.
